New ArcGIS Server API's

Well, I have finally gotten around to listening to the recent ESRI developer podcasts on the upcoming REST and Javascript api. Not a lot of technical information in there, but it does appear that it will be that saving grace that myself and many others have been waiting for. Working with Arcgis Server should be on par with ArcIMS for ease of use. I'm certainly not ready to say faster then ArcIMS yet..I'll wait on that one.

But, before I go any further, I wish to publicly plead with the ESRI folks to stop saying those ridiculous buzzwords that drive me insane. If I hear 'http goodness' or 'mashup' I am going to puke on my keyboard. Ugh. Please just stop that.

Anyway, 9.3 beta is coming very soon, and we are anxious to really give this thing a workout. Working with the web ADF hasnt been a pleasant experience for anyone, so heres hoping that ESRI can turn this ship around finally give the real web developers something to work with. From the little I have seen and heard, I think this could be what we have all been waiting for.
